We offer patient-driven physical therapy for a wide variety of shoulder injuries. Here are just a few of the common injuries we diagnose and treat in our clinics.

  • Rotator Cuff Tendinitis & Tears: Damage to this group of muscles limits your ability to raise your arm overhead. Physical therapy is effective at  improving your ability to move your arm overhead pain-free. Hands-on techniques to improve joint and muscle mobility can reduce pain in the short term, and stabilization and strengthening exercise programs can help reduce the risk of injury reoccurring.
  • Dislocations & Instability: Shoulder dislocations often create apprehension to overhead movements and lifting, pushing & pulling. Appropriately dosed exercise can improve stability and reduce apprehension & pain with these tasks.
  • Impingement Syndrome: This condition involves inflammation and irritation of tendons and bursa at the top of the shoulder joint and limits overhead range of motion and reaching. Manual therapy techniques to decrease muscle tightness and improve joint mobility are effective in decreasing pain. Strengthening exercises to improve tolerance to using the rotator cuff & biceps tendons improve the pain-free use of your shoulder.

If you're not moving as well as you'd like, we are here to help you in getting back to moving at your best!
